i'm sorry
when i found out she was here i searched for her.
i wanted to see her.
i found her.
i thought about talking to her but i decided not to.
i watched her from a distance.
she was so pretty. most men want a sick figure girl who wear more makeup than a drag queen but not me. i wanted her. he was on the thicker side and her skin was naturally beautiful.
so pretty.
and that bastard came along and she took to him. i wanted that to be me. me she cuddled up with.
then the bastard put her up in a ratty little motel and vanished and so did she.
when she came back i tried to tell her he was gone. i saw him and the tall on. the tall one killed him.
she was confused. she wanted to know who i was and i told her everything.
she got scared and tried to run and i told her it was dangerous that the tall man is looking for her but she tried to run and i had to stop her.
i didn't want him to have her.
i did it and i'm sorry and now i regret it.
she's with me now. i wrapped her up real nice. the snow kept her cold and now so does the freezer and when the spring comes i'll give her a nice resting spot somewhere in the park. it's pretty there in the spring. not far from the zoo so she can see the animals every day.
i'm sorry. i shouldn't have done it but now she's safe.

I don't really know whats going on.
I'll start by saying that the Plague Doctor is a friend. He was protecting me. When it started getting too cold he'd come and find me and wrap me up in that cape thing. I'd fall asleep in his arms. Then one day I woke up in a motel room. He rented a room for me to stay in.
We both stayed there for a while. I can't remember what happened after that. I woke up what felt like a year ago in thick woods. I walked around in it for what felt like days. Then I found myself walking along train tracks. They led to a concrete factory.
I looked across the woods from the factory and saw a trailer park. By now I had no clue where I was. I didn't know if I was in another state or just another town. I walked along the woods a bit more. Around the trailer park/concrete factory they're not nearly as thick as as when I was in the endless woods. Once I got to the end of them I saw that I was next to a road.
For some reason I looked to the side and found my suitcase sitting next to a tree with all my things in it. Then I looked up. There was a camera tied to a branch about 15 feet up. I couldn't reach it. I'm clumsy and uncoordinated and wasn't about to try to climb the tree to get it.
So now I'm in a library. I'm still in Delaware, thank God. I'm going to try to find that hotel we were in. I'm sad that I missed Christmas and New Years. Not that I would have done anything special.... Whatever....

Why? For the love of God, why can't I live a normal life? Why can't I find one family who I can live with forever and not have all hell break loose?
Ashley was right. There was something wrong with the woods.
I work up around 1:20 this morning to find my laptop on and MSN up. Someone has logged on. The old man and woman are, like most elderly people, afraid of technology like computers. They hate them and that's why they'd never have one, let alone use mine.
I logged on and talked to Ash. She said to be careful. She said the dear doctor was there. And I told her something I learned when I looked out the window. The branches of the trees surrounding the house were braided together tightly to to keep anyone from escaping. They even blocked the driveway.
I had enough. Ignoring Ash's protests, I went out to the shed and got out an ax. By now the old man and woman were awake, God knows why, and they saw what was going on with the trees. They were freaking out and I was determined to get us all out of there.
Well the first chop resulted in my face being covered in blood. At the time I didn't pay attention. I chopped all the way through without giving a fuck that there was blood coming from the now squirming "branches".
When I chopped a path out of the yard I ran to the house to get my things and that was when I realized I was covered in blood. Yeah, I freaked out.
Anyway, the old couple and I ran to a neighbor's house. One who has no trees in their yard. He didn't want an explanation for the blood. He just let us in and let me get cleaned up. After I was clean we left. We're in a small town now, in a ratty motel.
I tried to tell the old couple that they had to get away from me. The old woman said "That won't get him away from us."
She went on to explain that ever since her daughter was a little girl, way back in the 50's, she use to talk about a tall faceless man. At first they thought it was an imaginary friend. Then things started to happen. The old couple was never actually afraid of him. If anything, they thought he was helpful.
When the old woman would reach for something up high and couldn't reach it and went off to get a stool, she'd come back to find that item sitting on a counter or table and the demon standing in the corner looking shy. (I don't know what she means by shy. I never know how he looks since his face is hard to see under all that skin.) One time he helped the old man fix his truck.
He had never done anything threatening like imprisoning them like this before. So I told them that they needed to get away from me. He'll keep doing this if I'm around them. So the old man just got back from checking if the branches are still braided together. They're not, but there's still blood on the ground from where I chopped through.
They're about to leave now. She gave me an envelop of money. I feel bad for accepting it but she insisted. I haven't even looked to see how much is in it. I honestly don't care. I just feel bad I got them into this.
I'm going to stop accepting help and just hope I don't freeze to death at night. But maybe it'd be better if I did. Then this would all end for me. I don't want to survive, I want to live. I'm not living. Not a life worth living.

I met a nice old couple while walking down an almost abandoned country road. For a minuet I thought they were ghosts considering they were in an old 1950's Chevy truck and wore clothes to match. But then she pulled out a cell. Said her daughter was calling.
The asked me where I was from and I told them. I told them my real name and age. I told them I was homeless. The only thing I didn't tell them was why I was homeless.
They were so kind. Said they couldn't live with themselves if they knew I was out in this cold. So they invited me to stay with them.
At first I was reluctant but then I thought about how cold it's been and I agreed. She got out of the truck and wrapped a shawl around me. It smelled like rose perfume.
I fell in love with the house the moment it came into sight. It was a pretty two story Victorian. White and cranberry color. Pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. The inside was so warm and inviting, decorated like a little country house rather than a luxurious Victorian house.
The room they gave me was their daughters. It's girly but that country kind of girly. With faded pinks, old lace and old stuffed animals.
This morning I walked around the yard. It's odd. The house and yard are surrounded by trees but outside of the yard is all farm land. The only trees around for a mile or so are in this forest of a yard.
I found a little cemetery as I explored. The old man told me it was a family cemetery. The last person to be buried there was his mother in 1968.
